An overgrown length of trees/hedges has been transformed into a neatly laid hedge which should prove to be of benefit to the community and also create cover and habitat for birdlife.

Commendation should go to the hedgelayer Edward James, a member of the National Hedge Laying Society.

Tutbury Mill Mews Damage

A shop owner has thanked the people who helped him sort out damage caused to his premises by 80 mph gales at the weekend.

Chris Neale, co-owner of Tutbury Present Company, says he is grateful to Ashby Crane Hire and Edward James Tree Services for removing a tree which fell through the roof of Tutbury Mill Mews.

The shop was able to re-open on Wednesday afternoon after the building was inspected and regarded as being safe.
